1  Can you help with planning permission?
Yes, we can help with planning permission.  We can draw up plans for submission to building control and manage the process through to a decision.

2  What are the dimensions of the rooms?
The internal layout of each house is flexible.  Whilst we advertise “standard” layouts, our customers are able to choose the number and size of rooms to their precise requirements.

3  What developments are in progress?
In addition to individual developments, and have completed developments in Clovenfords and Etterick Bridge and are currently discussing plans for a new site at Earlston in the Scottish Borders.  If you would be interested in visiting any of these sites, please contact us.

4  Can I see a show home?
We would be delighted to take you on a tour of one of our houses at any time.  Just contact us to arrange a visit.

5  Do you also supply to self-builders?
Yes, we can provide our buildings on a supply-only basis for customers who would like to erect the buildings themselves or to use their own building company.

6  Do the houses comply with British building standards?
Yes.  We are members of the National House-Building Council (NHBC).

7  How long does it take to build a house from start to finish?
If you do not already have planning permission for the building, this can take several weeks depending on your local authority.  Once you have planning permission, it normally takes around 4 weeks from the start of development of the foundations to get the house wind and water tight.  From then, it normally takes around 10 weeks for the house to be ready for you to move in.

8  Do you have a choice of finishes?
We have a very wide range of finishes and additions from paint to woodwork to external cladding [check the brochures].

9  What if I want to install my own choice of kitchen or bathroom?
No problem.  Our prices are based upon our standard specifications, however, our customers are completely free to choose alternatives and we will simply

10  Can you source land for us?
No.  We only source land for our own development sites.  We do not source land for individual developments.  However, we can recommend agents in your area who can source the land for you.

11  How much control do I have over the construction?
During construction, you will deal directly with the Contracts Manager for your development.  You will also be free to discuss options with the tradesmen involved in your development.  Indeed, we encourage our customers to take an active involvement in the development as the best way to ensure customer satisfaction.
