We assign a contracts manager to each client on commencement of the construction. Our clients deal directly with their contracts manager throughout the building project and is responsible for keeping in touch with the client throughout the build including the discussion of any changes.
First on site are the groundworks team who are responsible for clearing the site, preparing the foundations and installing the power, water and drainage services
When the ground work is complete, the builders then build the foundations. They also erect the scaffolding to prepare for the house arriving. Once the timber frame has been erected and the roof covering is complete, the builders build any block outer skin according to the plan.
The joiners are on site from the day of delivery of the building until the end of the development and are responsible for the major part of the building construction.
Once the house is wind and watertight, the electricians and plumbers perform the first fix work – the initial installations of the major wiring and plumbing components.
These trades are responsible for the finish within the house. The Ames taper finishes the taper edges and fills screw holes ready to take the paint. The painters apply the emulsion to the internal walls and paint the finishings if not already pre-finished.
Once the major decoration has been completed, the electricians, plumbers and joiners perform the finishing work on doors, finishings, covings, facings, sockets, baths etc.
Roughcasters perform any external rendering to the block skin and the joiners carry out any decking work such as steps etc.
The groundwork team return for any landscaping required.

"Just wanted to say how nice it was to see you at the Kirkbank opening on Saturday. I am so delighted with the job you and Fjordhus have done for us, and I'll have no hesitation in dropping your name to other churches looking to do something similar. Thank you for helping us take a floundering dream into such a lovely reality."
